If on a summers day when it’s too hot to play
And it’s 42 I know just what to do
I rush home from school jump in the pool
Splash – Ahh! It’s nice and cool.
Well the sun may be high and the grass may be dry
But when it’s half past three I know where I want to be
So I dash to the gate
There may be Maths to do, there may be History too
But when the day is done it’s time to have some fun
So I pick up my bag, dash to the gate
And something else I’ve learnt, don’t get too sunburnt
Slap some cream on your skin and you’ll be wearing a grin
And at the end of the day, I pick up my bag, dash to the gate
CHORUS – ahh!
